    Accessory Building: A plot plan identifying the location of the accessory building in relation to other structures and lot lines, regardless of size, must be submitted for approval to ensure compliance with city zoning set-back requirements. Accessory buildings less than 200 square feet shall have a no fee permit issued. Accessory buildings 201-500 square feet shall be charged a $40 permit (inspections included). Accessory buildings greater than 500 square feet shall be charged a fee of $.05 / square foot of the total square footage (inspections included).

    Roof: All roofing permits shall be $40.

    Sign: A sign permit is $40. A detailed construction drawing showing a materials list, design, and wind load calculation. (An additional electrical permit will be required is lighting is part of the design).

    Additional:

    • All fence permits must be obtained at the building department at city hall.
    • New/Addition/Repair are calculated on the affected area only. 
      • Square Footage of affected area such as a bathroom remodel. The bathroom would be the affected area.
    • All residential project require plans to be submitted to the Building Department.
    • Engineer stamped plans are required on all commercial and new construction. Hand drawn or computer drawn plans are acceptable for residential.
